Monday Morning Art: Revisiting Miceala

You had to know that with all the photos I shot a couple of weeks ago during the dress rehearsals for the WVSO’s production of “Carmen,” that I couldn’t resist doing a little digital assaulting of them.  Well, this week’s dose of art is a digital drawing based on a photograph of the lovely Mariel Van Dalsum-Boggs as Miceala, the “good girl” caught up in the tragic love story in “Carmen.”  The grand artistry of the opera has inspired my meager efforts here.

Once again, click the image for a larger view. And go here for the Monday Morning Art Store, and here for the PopCult store. In the unlikely event that anyone actually purchases anything with this image on it, a portion of the proceeds will be given to the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra.

This is lovely. I wouldn’t mind having this hanging in my living room.

She looks like the crew member of the Enterprise who had her face removed by Charlie X!
