the-kid-in-play

We begin this week with a digital painting of my imaginary daughter, Kitty Killton, AKA “The Kid.” Kitty is one of my favorite models and the inspiration for this piece goes back to a photo session from Dr. Sketchy’s Anti Art Show a few years ago.

I really miss Dr. Sketchy’s. I hope they can start up again soon. In fact, I’d done a Monday Morning Art painting based on a similar pose from the same session a couple of years ago. In both instances, I changed the colors and was too lazy to paint the kid’s tattoos.

Anyway, this was created using some new software that I’ve installed on the new PC, and I like the way it worked out. Having a faster computer, combined with having working fingers again, thanks to the meds for Myasthenia Gravis that I’m taking, allowed me to go in a new direction and even try to put a little Adam Hughes gloss on the finished piece. As always, click the image to see a bigger version.
