This week’s art is a bit of a throwback to a digital piece I created back in 2018.

Since my MG has been flaring up and making things less than precise finger-wise, but I still felt like making real physical art anyway, I decided to do a variation on the original “Ball of Confusion,” only this time using acrylic paint on a small, black canvas that I had laying around.

It took up more time than I’d hoped, but since I didn’t feel well enough to go to any memorial services, and this was a fairly mechanical process, I started on this Saturday morning, and finished it up while watching the WWE Elimination Chamber PLE Saturday night.

It didn’t take up a lot of mental energy. I basically just looked at the original, decided to twist it up a bit, and employed some slightly pointalistic techniques and a color palette made up of some colors I don’t usually employ.  There’s a lot of magenta, burnt umber and neon yellow in there.  Using the black canvas made the background a lot easier.

This was mostly an exercise in not letting my hand muscles atrophy.
