This week’s dose of Monday morning pretentiousness is a simple photograph–not digitally assaulted or enhanced.  I shot this last month on the night where I took all the photos at the dress rehearsal for the WVSO production of “Carmen” that we ran in PopCult.   This is a shot, taken from front-row center, looking back at the empty Maier Performance Hall, located in the Clay Center.  It was taken during a break between acts three and four of the opera.  I liked the way it looked, so I didn’t have at it with my digital weapons of mass distortion.

As always, click the image for a larger view. And go here for the Monday Morning Art Store, and herefor the PopCult store. Just like last week, in the unlikely event that anyone actually purchases anything with this image on it, a portion of the proceeds will be given to the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra.
