Today we kick off Chicago month here in Monday Morning Art. All during the month of May, each week Monday Morning Art will present two pieces by yours truly based on the sights seen on my recent trip to Chicago. It was a productive and visually-inspiring trip.
Our artistic kick off to this week are two pieces titled “Mr. Blue Sky.” They are both digitally-assaulted photographs of the Chicago Skyline with the actual beautiful blue sky preserved as is, while the buildings have been fed through the infamous “Stark Charleston” filter that I’ve used many times in the past here in PopCult. Above is “Mr. Blue Sky #1.” Below is “Mr. Blue Sky #2.” As always, click to enlarge.
Check back every Monday in May for more Chicago-inspired art. Next week it’s two digital paintings based on things seen around The Art Institute of Chicago.
