The PopCult Toybox

Larry boardLarry Hama gives us a detailed breakdown of storyboards he did for an action sequence in the hit HBO drama “Boardwalk Empire.” He breaks down the sequential narrative and discuses his interaction with the director and what it’s like working under a tight deadline. There is some strong language used in the script of the show.

The similarities between comic book art and storyboarding for film are many, and Larry walks us through this sequence much in the same way that he did for his classic GI Joe comic “Silent Interlude” last year. Recorded at JoeLanta and The Great Atlanta Toy Convention on March 13, 2016.

Look for more panels from JoeLanta and The Great Atlanta Toy Convention here in PopCult all weekend long. Technical issues are slowing us down a bit, but keep checking. It’ll all turn up here soon.
