I have not forgotten you. “Stuff To Do” returns with a look at what’s happening in and around Charleston for the next couple of days.

1495490_636887853034773_240878523_nComedy Night The Blue Parrot returns for it’s first show of the year Wednesday at 8:30 PM. This month, they’re turning over the stage to the ladies for the showcase portion of the show. Headlining is Wendi Furguson, from Dayton. Recently, Wendy was a Semi-Finalist in the Columbus Funny Bone’s Talent Search, and has been performing all over Ohio.

Also featured is Charleston’s own Sheila Hooker. Rounding out the line-up will be local ladies Lynn Browder and Annie Lane, both of Charleston, WV, and Angela Davis, from Huntington, WV. There will be an Open Mic following the showcase. Five bucks gets you in the door.

Free music to warm your hearts tonight includes Mike Withrow and Friends at The Empty Glass at 10 PM and The Rick Perdue Tribe at The Boulevard Tavern, also at 10 PM.

Third Eye Cabaret #56 sees Louis Argento, Jeremy Schulte, Corporate Orange, and Spurgie Hankins – solo lighting up the stage at The Cellar, 8 Capitol Street, at 8 PM, with no cover.

Steve Clever Siders takes the stage at the world famous Empty Glass from 10pm – 1am, with special guest John Bird and Hoboclay Swartz to open the night. This is also a cover-free event with food available and drink specials.

At 7PM it’s time for the free Improv Comedy workshop at Kanawha Players Theater. Great minds gather and do funny stuff until 9 PM. This is growing into a pretty impressive scene.

Hey, it's also an impressive PANORAMIC scene!

Hey, it’s also an impressive PANORAMIC scene!

Another impressive scene is the Stand-Up Comedy open mic at Mojo’s in South Charleston. At 9 PM, almost every Thursday, area comedians will thrill, delight and try out new material on unsuspecting bar patrons. It’s cover-free and there’s a chance that you’ll get to see someone who will be on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast in ten years, crying about how they ruined their career with drugs and horrible behavior.
