Your PopCulteer is still a bit under the weather, so this week we’re just going to look at some crowdfunding efforts and bring you the highlights of this weekend’s Stuff To Do. The big thing this weekend is the reunion of the legendary Velvet Brothers. The RFC crew will be on hand to document the festivities Saturday night at Bruno’s. Details can be found below.

Time is running short on what is essentially a pre-order for the 30th Anniversary vinyl presenting the best of live music recorded at The Empty Glass:
Speaking of pre-orders, for a mere twenty bucks you can get your hands on the latest CD/DVD release by DEVO, a live recording of this summer’s “Hardcore DEVO” tour. This has already more than met it’s goal, so you are guaranteed to get your reward. Click the image to check it out.

Free Music Friday Includes: Marshall Petty and The Groove at Five Croners Cafe, on the West Side of Charleston, from 5 PM to 8. Spencer Elliott and Rush Repart at Taylor Books on Capitol Street, starting at 7:30 PM. Dugan Carter and Friends at Bruno’s on Leon Sullivan Way, starting at 9 PM. Renegade Mary invades Crumbpeckers in Saint Albans at 9 PM.
Also, from 8 PM to 9, Fireside Bar and Lounge (upstairs from Little India) presents a No Cover line-up of stand-up comedy.

Friday September 12th You won’t want to miss this Powerhouse of a show at the The Empty Glass, kicking off at 10 PM with a seven-dollar cover.
Super Heavy Duty Opens for Veteran Rockabilly Band The Tremors. The Tremors have local History with The Pistol Whippers and will reunite with Bobby and Brian at this show. Look for Super Heavy Duty on the next RFC MINI SHOW.
