Back about four years ago I told you about Patrick Felton’s podcast, That Conversation. It featured in-depth and thoughtful interviews with some of the Charleston-Huntington area’s top creative people. Somehow, your PopCulteer even wound up among the subjects of Patrick’s interviews. I am happy to announce that, starting in July, The AIR will present newly-annotated versions of Patrick’s podcasts, with follow-up interviews where possible, as part of our reinvigorated line-up.
As a special treat on Memorial Day, The AIR will run a marathon of some of Patrick’s original That Conversation podcasts all day long, beginning at 8 AM Eastern time, and running well past midnight. You can listen in on The AIR website or on this nifty little embedded tuner right here…
Patrick is an actor, playwright, filmmaker, and arts advocate from Charleston WV. Patrick holds a Masters of Arts in Television, Radio, and Film from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Communication. A staunch advocate for West Virginians in film, Patrick has worked previously with the West Virginia International Film Festival and West Virginia Filmmakers Festival, of which he acted as director.
As an actor, Patrick Felton is a veteran of the West Virginia theater community. He has appeared in over 40 local productions including Charlotte’s Web (CTOC) A Lion In Winter (Angevin Players), The Importance Of Being Earnest (Angevin Players), Jesus Christ Superstar (CYAC), and Proof (Alban Arts Center). Patrick has also appeared in numerous short films, commercials, and features in the area, and has performed Stand-up comedy and directed many local theatrical productions.
These are terrific conversations between Patrick and many very recognizable names in the local arts scene. The shows are unedited and each one has a different running time, but here’s a list of shows in the order that they will run on The AIR. The times are approximate, but the running order is correct.
