With Halloween less than two weeks away, we’re going to bring you something family-friendly to help get you in the mood.
It’s the 1967 Rankin-Bass stop-motion animated movie, Mad Monster Party? which features the voices of Boris Karloff, Allen Swift, Gale Garnett and Phyllis Diller.
The movie tells the story of Baron Boris Von Frankenstein’s plot for world destruction that involves gathering most of the world’s monsters together on his island, where he also plans to tell them of his pending retirement as the head of the Worldwide Organization of Monsters. The whole story is played for laughs, which is not a shock since it was co-written by MAD Magazine‘s creator, Harvey Kurtzman, and the character design was by MAD artist, Jack Davis.
It’s a fun little treat to get you geared up for the home stretch to the most spookiest day of the year.
