Tuesday on The AIR we take yet another dive into the archives for classic episodes of Radio Free Charleston and NOISE BRIGADE, but we do have a all-new episoe of The Swing Shift.  If you want to hear the audio joyfullness yourself, you simply have to move your cursor over and tune in at the website, or you could just stay on this page, and  listen to the cool embedded player over at the top of the right column.

We have a special compilation edition of Radio Free Charleston at 10 AM and 10 PM Tuesday.  This week wego back and combine two very old episodes of the show, one from 2015 and one from 2016, into one three-hour celebration of great local music.

Included in this new Frankensteined program, we have music from legendary Charleston Playhouse bands from 1989-90, including eight tunes from Stark Raven. Mix into this a heaping helping of Charleston music circa 2015/16 and you get a pretty wild and varied collection of great West Virginia music, with more than a few surprises. We have everything from one-man-bands, to cabaret rock to heavy metal, ambient music and more.

This week I am one-again tied up with other projects (including restoring PopCult’s early posts to their original state) and found myself with not enough time to do new radio shows. So I came up with this clever plan, since these episodes of RFC volumes three and four have not been heard by human ears for over five years. Part of me hates to resort to the archives, but another part of me is glad to revive these great shows for people who might have missed them the first time around.

Check out the playlist to see all the goodies we bring you this week…
