Every Monday in July, the artistic start to PopCult’s week will be a new version of one of the 600 or so pieces of digital art that I’ve created for this blog over the last dozen years. What happened was that I found a stash of old images, and decided to revisit them, adding minor or major twists along the way.

Today we travel back to the spring of 2008, when I created a series of digital paintings for a benefit project. I was using a style that I’ve largely abandoned in recent years to create a series of abstract images that featured a strong sense of design and a digital texture that combined airbrush with eggshell crackle paint.

Today we’re featuring one of my favorite pieces of that era, “Looking Through The Wires,” enhanced with some new bells and whistles to come up with a slightly-new work of art. Click to enlarge.
